National Assisted Living Week is a special time when assisted living communities come alive with celebrations that bring residents together. It’s a chance to share stories, make memories, and enjoy events that show the strong bond among residents, caregivers, and families. This year, the theme is Season of Reflection. For our community, it’s important to celebrate our residents as much as possible. We strive every day to make each resident feel special and at home. Everyone brings something special to our community and that’s important to recognize.
At Hudson Grande Senior Living, we are honoring residents’ lives and experiences by celebrating and creating events based on the decades of the 1940s through 1980s and turning our pre-planned events into these themes. Staff and residents will also be dressing up for the various events. As the Resident Services Director, I am most excited about our 60s fitness class. Our Wellness Director is dressing up and going all out for it.
Taking the time to celebrate National Assisted Living Week is important. For me, Season of Reflection means each of our residents have lived very different lives, and it’s important to listen and reflect on their happy moments and achievements through the years.
It’s not only a time to celebrate, but also an opportunity to appreciate the staff and volunteers who make assisted living communities what they are today! This week highlights the power of connections, memories, and the spirit of togetherness that makes every resident feel at home.
