As our homes go through the freeze and thaw cycles, it is important that we take valuable and proactive steps to prevent issues. Due to the tilt of the Earth’s axis, the northern hemisphere begins to see the winter-scape come back to life with daffodils blooming, grass greening, and temperatures warming during late March into early April. As exciting as that can be, so many things need to be done to prepare for the warmer season, including spring cleaning, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors tested, and filters changed.
To prepare for warmer weather, I will tune up all yard equipment for the season, make sure all air conditioning condensers are clean and free of debris, and wash any remaining snow melt salt off walkways. This creates utility efficiencies and makes for less preparations during warmer weather.
I have slacked off on my daily walks and workouts this past year. I’m going to start getting back in the routine of exercising with the arrival of warmer weather.
